Job Overview:
We are seeking a Qualified Electrician (Armature Winder) to join our dynamic team based in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in motors and pumps and a valid Trade Test Certificate. Key Responsibilities:
Dismantle electric motors, generators, and transformers for cleaning and access to windings.
Diagnose faults using specialized testing instruments to identify damaged coils or internal failures.
Rewind coils using coil-winding machines, ensuring correct turns and configurations.
Replace damaged coils and prepare/fit insulation materials according to circuit specs.
Assemble and test repaired equipment for continuity and proper functionality.
Accurately record test data and maintain quality standards.
Requirements:
Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
Trade Test Certificate (Electrician)
Proven experience working with motors and pumps
Attention to detail and strong fault-finding abilities
Ability to interpret technical diagrams and follow standard procedures
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
