The Electrician take responsibility for installing, transferring, and repairing equipment and machinery this will include dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, maintaining and installing equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and fault finding.
Installing equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing of defective parts ensuring safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
Participating in the preventative maintenance routines on all equipment for continuous improvement of all equipment
Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports, documentation and feedback
Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment
Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area Performing other related duties as assigned
Dismantled & assemble machinery and parts.
Execute pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
Performed planned maintenance on machinery & equipment.
Inspect, test and repair MCC circuits & wiring systems and electrical equipment.
Use installed programs and perform fault finding on programmable logical control circuits (PLC’s).
Install and commission machinery and equipment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric (essential)
Code 8 driver license (essential)
3+ years Experience in an Electrical Position (essential)
Must be willing to work overtime/stand-by

Education:
Grade 12
Completed Trade Test – Electrical
Experience:
In-depth knowledge of equipment and machinery
Experience using PLC’s (beneficial)
Knowledge working with electrical and pneumatic tools
Working with hand tools
Computer literate: MS Excel & MS Word
