Our client is looking for a skilled  Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer  to join their
dynamic
team. This role involves planning, designing, and coordinating electrical and instrumentation solutions for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Duties & Responsibilities
Project Planning & Design: Â Develop electrical and instrumentation designs aligned with project scope and business objectives.
Regulatory Compliance
:  Ensure all designs adhere to applicable  SANS Standards, international electrical codes, the MHS Act, and the OHS Act . Cost & Quality Management:  Design cost-effective and high-quality electrical and instrumentation systems. Client Liaison:  Engage with clients to understand design specifications and ensure project requirements are met.
Documentation & Reporting:  Prepare  scope of work, specifications, bill of quantities, and tender documents . Manufacturing & Implementation:  Compile technical data packs for manufacturing and software engineering phases. Testing & Commissioning:  Oversee testing of manufactured equipment and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Team Leadership
:  Guide  draughts persons and junior engineers  to ensure optimal resource utilisation and
professional growth
. Site Audits & Feasibility Studies:  Conduct  on-site assessments  to identify potential improvements and compliance with industry best practices.
After-Service Support: Â Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for clients post-installation. Experience & Qualification
Education:
Degree/Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent NQF qualification.
Experience:
3 – 6 years of design and engineering experience, including exposure to relevant design software. Industry Exposure:  Experience in mining industry designs, industrial plants, and process engineering. Standards & Regulations:  Knowledge of  SANS Standards , international electrical and instrumentation standards, MHS Act, and OHS Act.
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in  PLC and SCADA systems . Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Projects).
Experience with
design software such as  Eplan, E-Tap, AutoCAD, Dessoft, or Intools  (advantageous).
