Position Overview
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing the electrical scope of solar installation projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and local electrical codes. This role includes supervising electricians and installers, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring all system components are properly installed and tested.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the electrical team during residential and commercial solar installations.
- Read and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Perform quality checks on electrical work and verify system functionality.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Leads, and Inspectors to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide on-site technical guidance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of materials used, progress reports, and job site conditions.
- Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are used safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License (state-specific).
- 3+ years of experience in electrical work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or foreman role (solar experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, and battery storage systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Must be safety-conscious and capable of enforcing safety standards on-site.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

- Hourly Rate: $34 – $40 (based on experience and qualifications)
