Full Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment, systems, and components. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for industrial, commercial, or residential use.
Create electrical schematics, layouts, and technical drawings using CAD software.
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
Conduct performance and reliability testing of electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing electrical systems.
Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of systems.
Prepare project documentation, reports, and user manuals.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
MUST be an ECSA registered candidate with either of the following valid certifications Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng / Pr Cert Eng.
Experience:
[10–15] years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or related fields
Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, or similar software
Must have experience working on cranes
Certifications (preferred):
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Certification in NEC, IEEE standards
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
Proficiency in CAD tools and circuit design software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Work Environment:
Office setting with occasional site visits
May require travel depending on project needs
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on job sites
