Role Description
This is a hybrid role based in Johannesburg, with some flexibility for remote work. The Educational Psychologist will provide assessments, interventions, and counselling services for children, adolescents, and adults, addressing a wide range of educational and psychological needs. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, developing and implementing tailored intervention plans, supporting students and families with special educational needs, and collaborating with educators and multidisciplinary teams to promote mental, emotional, and academic wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Educational Psychology and Psychology to conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions
- Strong knowledge of mental health practices, including counselling and behavioural therapy
- Background in education and special education to support diverse learning and developmental needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
- Master’s degree in Educational Psychology or a related field
- Valid certifications and registration with a recognised professional body, specifically the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa)
