Exciting opportunity for an exceptional Ecommerce Growth Manager to join our rapidly growing e-commerce platform client in Cape Town (hybrid).
The Ecommerce Growth Manager will take ownership of the end-to-end growth strategy, driving acquisition, conversion, and retention across the customer journey. You'll identify the biggest growth opportunities, lead experimentation and CRO initiatives, and turn data into actionable strategies that deliver measurable commercial impact.
Working closely with marketing, technology, operations, and supply teams, you'll champion a culture of testing, optimisation, and continuous improvement. You'll also balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, using analytics and customer insights to scale what works and maximise customer lifetime value.
NB – we are also open to considering Sr Ecommerce Growth Specialist candidates who haven’t yet led a team and can grow into this role
Key responsibilities
- Owning the end-to-end ecommerce growth strategy across acquisition, conversion, and retention
- Identifying and prioritising the biggest growth opportunities across the business
- Leading CRO, experimentation, and optimisation across all digital touchpoints
- Turning data into clear, actionable strategies that drive revenue growth
- Collaborating with marketing, supply, tech, and ops to execute growth initiatives
- Building and refining lifecycle strategies to increase repeat purchase and customer value
- Creating structured testing roadmaps and ensuring learnings are implemented at scale
- Reporting on growth performance in a way that drives decisions, not confusion
- Building, managing and developing a team of Ecommerce Growth Specialist(s)
- Coaching the team to think analytically, move fast, and execute with impact
- Creating a culture of testing, learning, and continuous improvement
- Ensuring the team is focused on the highest-impact work, not just busy work
- Providing clear direction, feedback, and development plans
Requirements
- A degree in marketing, business, or similar (preferred)
- 6+ years experience in ecommerce, growth, or performance/digital marketing
- 2+ years experience managing or mentoring a team (preferred) but we will also consider Sr Ecommerce Growth specialists who can develop into leading a team
- Strong experience with CRO, analytics, and growth frameworks
- Confidence working with data, tools, and cross-functional teams
- Ability to balance strategy and hands-on execution
- Experience with tools like Google Analytics, CRM platforms, A/B testing tools
