A Marble & Granite Company is looking for a mature candidate with 10 years’ experience to fulfill the duties of a Draughtsman:

Requirements The overall purpose of the Draughtsman is to create shop drawings by using the construction drawings’ specifications received from the
Architects and interior designers. You will be required to create detailed drawings which are to be utilised during production of project materials. In addition to this, it will be expected from you to perform machine operating duties as required.
Create shop drawings from construction drawings received from project architects and interior designers.
Programming the CNC machine with job specifications as per the detailed drawings.
Program and operate the Combi and smart cut machine.
Review shop drawings for accuracy and ensure the drawings are inclusive of all the specifications received from the project architects and interior designers.
Obtain approval on the shop drawings from the project architects and engineers.
Conduct site visits to obtain accurate measurements for detailed drawings.
Create detailed drawings for the production of the project by using the site measurements.
Program the waterjet CNC machine to cut the medallion and or floor patterns as per the drawing specifications.
Quantify and lay out cutting patterns to minimise material waste.
Monitor project materials and consumables on hand and place orders to replenish potential shortages.
Liaise with fixers on site to resolve any site-specific issues.
Provide clients with technical information on cladding and other fixing systems.
Complete project responsibilities within project scope, budget and schedule.
Assist the Quantity Surveying department with the compilation of technical documentation.
