We are seeking a dependable and motivated Door Shop Associate to join our team.Position SummaryThe Door Shop Associate is responsible for assembling, machining, and preparing interior and exterior doors according to customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, safe operation of woodworking equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble and prepare pre-hung door units.
- Measure, cut, and machine doors, frames, and related components.
- Install hardware, including hinges and door accessories.
- Read and interpret work orders and production specifications.
- Operate shop equipment such as saws, drills, routers, and other woodworking machinery.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous woodworking, carpentry, manufacturing, or door shop experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to safely operate power tools and equipment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
