Dining Steward/ess Jobs in Cape Town, South Africa at Crew Life at Sea
– Greet and welcome guests as they enter the dining area
– Assist in seating guests and taking orders
– Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
– Ensure all dining areas are clean and properly set up before, during, and after service
– Monitor and maintain stock levels of supplies, such as cutlery, dishes, and linens
– Assist in the preparation of dining areas for special events or occasions
– Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
– Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
– Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
– Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
– Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining or hospitality setting
– Excellent customer service and communication skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
– Team player with a positive attitude
– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
– Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
– Must be able to obtain necessary travel documents and work permits
