Purpose of Job
The Digital Technician will be responsible for testing and modifying developmental or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, and circuitry in business or operational cluster plants or laboratories. The goal is to maintain and improve the functionality and reliability of electrical systems to support operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
Work Standards & Delivery:Ensure work standards are met according to quality, quantity, and due dates, while supporting company goals and values.
Maintenance & Reliability:Support the execution of maintenance strategies, ensuring adherence to work standards, safety, and compliance. Contribute to RBI studies and the Maintenance strategy process to improve equipment reliability.
Cost &Resource Management:Optimize and control resources effectively, perform tasks cost-consciously, and manage data and information accumulation.
Safety & Risk Management:Apply safety practices in project planning and execution to meet safety and risk objectives.
Personal &Skill Development:Take ownership of personal development plans and actively work towards performance goals and improvement.
TeamCollaboration:Build relationships with colleagues, customers, and project teams to supporteffective communicationand high performance. Share and implementoptimizationideas to improve work processes.
Technical Support:Provide technical input and advice to project teams, demonstrate troubleshooting abilities, and resolve work obstacles quickly.
Requirements
Education And Experience
FormalEducation:
Grade 12 or N3 with Mathematics, Physical Science, and English
Relevant Diploma or N6 in Electrical/Electronics
Experience
A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in digital/technical fields, particularly in electrical/electronics maintenance and system operations.
Required Skills
Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, systems, and engineering design. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Planning & Organization:Ability to plan, align, and execute work efficiently.
Action-Oriented:Proactive in managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Collaboration &Communication:Effective listening andcommunication skillsto build relationships and work in teams.
Problem-Solving:Ability to identifyoptimizationopportunities and provide technical solutions.
