We're looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to drive customer acquisition, retention, and marketing performance across multiple regulated African markets. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading global gaming business and play a key role in scaling growth for the Betway and Jackpot City Casino brands.

In this role, you'll lead multi-channel marketing initiatives, manage significant media budgets, optimize customer journeys, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business results.

What You'll Be Doing

Marketing Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies across multiple African markets.
  • Create country-specific marketing plans, performance targets, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify growth opportunities that improve acquisition, retention, revenue, and market share.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to inform decision-making.

Performance Marketing

  • Lead and optimize digital acquisition channels including:
  • Paid Search
  • Paid Social
  • Programmatic Media
  • Display Advertising
  • Drive efficient customer acquisition while maximizing ROI and customer lifetime value.
  • Oversee media budget allocation and channel performance.
  • Implement data-driven optimizations throughout the customer journey.

Customer Retention & Lifecycle Management

  • Partner with CRM and customer marketing teams to improve retention and player engagement.
  • Develop segmentation strategies, loyalty initiatives, and personalized customer experiences.
  • Support VIP, loyalty, promotional, and engagement programmes designed to increase player value.

Marketing Operations & Execution

  • Ensure seamless execution of campaigns across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with channel owners and marketing specialists to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Maintain brand consistency and operational excellence across all markets.
  • Support ongoing process improvement and marketing effectiveness initiatives.

Analytics & Insights

  • Leverage analytics, attribution modelling, forecasting, and reporting to drive decisions.
  • Track campaign effectiveness, acquisition metrics, customer value, and marketing ROI.
  • Monitor performance across the conversion funnel and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Work closely with Product, Commercial, BI, CRM, Creative, Compliance, PR, Sponsorships, Social Media, and Media teams.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, media suppliers, and strategic partners.
  • Negotiate partnerships and opportunities that enhance brand reach and performance.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all marketing activity complies with local regulations, advertising standards, responsible gaming requirements, and platform policies.
  • Maintain governance processes and controls across all marketing initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 7+ years' experience in Digital Marketing, Performance Marketing, Marketing Operations, or a similar role.
  • 3+ years' experience leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience operating across multiple countries or markets.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Customer acquisition and retention
  • Customer lifecycle management
  • Segmentation strategies
  • Marketing analytics and attribution
  • Digital media platforms
  • ROI and budget management
  • Proven experience managing significant marketing budgets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Online Gaming, Sports Betting, Casino, Fintech, E-commerce, or other regulated industries.
  • Player acquisition and retention marketing.
  • Marketing automation and CRM platforms.
  • Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) modelling and forecasting.
  • Experience scaling growth in emerging markets.
  • Knowledge of African gaming regulations and compliance frameworks.
