Position: Digital Content Assistant / Graphic Design
We are searching for a Digital Content Assistant / Graphic Designer to support the marketing team’s daily operations, focusing on creating, designing, and managing digital content across social media platforms and the company website.
This junior role offers an excellent opportunity to develop content creation, design, and multimedia skills, with potential for growth in branding and digital design. The ideal skillset required is one with a focus on visual/design content.
Location: Stikland, Cape Town
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00-16:30 (Full-time)
Set-up: In-office & Hybrid (once probation passed)
Reports to: Marketing & IT Manager
Responsibilities:
Graphic Design:
Visual/Design Content:
Create and edit graphics, illustrations, infographics, web designs, digital art, logos, and other visual assets.
Content Creation & Design:
Create engaging, on-brand digital content, including graphics, videos, and multimedia assets.
Design visuals for social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and website updates.
Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand guidelines and supports branding efforts.
Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
Social Media Content Management:
Schedule and publish designed content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok.
Maintain visual consistency and uphold the company’s brand image in all social media content.
Respond to comments and messages, ensuring consistent brand tone and voice.
Website Content Support:
Upload and maintain website content, including images, banners, and product listings.
Ensure website visuals are engaging, on-brand, and optimized for user experience.
Brand-Building & Multimedia Design:
Contribute to the development of the company’s brand identity through consistent, high-quality design work.
Assist in the creation of multimedia content (short videos, GIFs, animations) for branding purposes.
Support affiliate marketing by creating design assets for promotional links and campaigns.
Administrative Support:
Prepare and organize content templates for social media, website, and marketing campaigns.
Assist in coordinating design-related aspects of marketing campaigns and events.
Requirements:
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Matric certificate.
A diploma or certification in graphic design, multimedia, digital content creation, marketing, advertising, or copywriting is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with design tools like Canva, Photopea, Adobe Express, or basic Photoshop.
Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, or Meta Business Suite).
Basic understanding of multimedia creation (videos, GIFs, animations).
Knowledge of SEO principles and affiliate marketing practices is beneficial.
Familiarity with website platforms like Word Press (Woo commerce).
Basic copywriting skills to support content creation.
