Diesel Technician (Heavy Vehicles and Earthmoving Machinery) Jobs in Polokwane at Janniek Trading (PTY) LTD T/A Alpha Sand
Key Performance areas:
Perform breakdown and scheduled maintenance services on all types of Vehicles and Machinery.
Check all Vehicles and Machinery on an AD-HOC basis to identify maintenance needs.
Identify problem areas; perform daily maintenance according to planning board/ Job Cards.
Repair/ rebuild engines, perform basic auto electrician duties.
Knowledge of Hydraulics and pneumatics.
Source parts for various types of Vehicles and Machinery.
Basic welding.
Communication with staff at different levels within the company.
The key performance areas will include but is not limited to the workshop.
Any and all other task, as required, within reason, without loss of compensation.
Requirements for the positions:
Grade 12 Senior Certificate or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s license (Code 10 and above is an added bonus).
Sober habits.
Fit and healthy (employment subject to passing a Pre-employment Medical Fitness Examination).
Manage himself / herself effectively.
Must have 5 or more years of relevant experience in a similar position.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, organisational and controlling skills.
Deadline focused with attention to detail, driven individual that can cope under pressure.
Must be proficient in both Afrikaans and English. Verbal and written.
