The Sustainable Livelihoods Foundation NPC is seeking to engage an early career graduate with knowledge of economic, spatial and social development to join their project team for Development and Research Practitioner Internship

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Writing project reports, documenting project engagement processes, and recording the minutes of meetings.

Conducting research in support of the institutionalization of projects.

Arranging and supporting community-based and participatory engagements.

Managing social media sites.

Corresponding with project partners and counterparts.

Representing SLF at various fora.

Supporting project logistics and administrative tasks

Supporting in the production of knowledge products and outputs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A Masters’ degree (awarded with an upper second or higher) in economics, development studies, urban planning or equivalent.

At least 1 year of professional work experience.

A demonstrable track record of working to deadlines and producing high-quality research.

South African citizenship or residency

Excellent writing skills and good analytical skills.

Excellent language competency in English and language competency in a second South African language.

Meticulous organizational skills and ability to work under pressure

Compensation for this position is market-related for an early career professional.
