Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Team Leader, based in Gauteng, South Africa. The Design Team Leader will oversee the design team, manage projects, and ensure the development and delivery of high-quality design solutions. This role involves creative direction, project scheduling, mentoring team members, and fostering collaboration across departments. The Design Team Leader will also liaise with clients to understand their strategic goals and ensure that design outputs align with their expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills to mentor and guide design teams effectively
- Expertise in design principles, including graphic design, product design, and user interface design
- Experience in project management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams, understanding and delivering on shared objectives
- Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant tools
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, coupled with a creative and innovative approach to design challenges
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas clearly
