Requirements:
Experience:
5 to 15 years.
Qualifications:
Relevant draughting qualification advantageous.
Professional Registrations:
Not required.
Software:
Microsoft Office (proficient)(excel, word, outlook), Nesting Software (any but not critical), any 3D design package (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred).
Proficient in both English and Afrikaans. (Crucial)
Notice period:
Not more than 1 month.
Responsibilities:
Reports to engineering manager.
Product development and design.
Take on complete projects from start to finish including special projects.
Load distributions and general arrangement drawings.
Assist in implementing drawing standards/processes/documentation etc.
Maintain products/databases/standards/administration etc.
Assist production and repair departments as needed.
Create nestings for plasma from time to time.
Assist with day-to-day requirements.
Data capturing and filing.
Bills of materials.
Proper planning and time management. The successful candidate will be expected to function successfully on their own and must be a quick learner.
Maintain good interdepartmental communications and relations.
Other responsibilities may be added.
Qualities/Skills:
Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimise risk.
Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with co-workers.
Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability and be very detail oriented.
Working well with many different departments and external suppliers.
Always keeping the end-user/customer in mind.
Being results and deadline driven.
Proficient in MS Office and CAD software.
Candidates may need to do a test on AutoCAD and Inventor if they have experience on it.
