Role Description The Design Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Fetakgomo Tubatse. This position is responsible for preparing accurate technical, engineering, and architectural drawings that support design, construction, and maintenance projects. The Design Drafter will use computer-aided design (CAD) tools to create and revise plans, sections, and detailed layouts in line with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with engineers and architects, interpreting design concepts, updating documentation, and ensuring drawings are coordinated and compliant with relevant codes. The role also involves maintaining drawing records, assisting with design reviews, and supporting project teams with clear and precise graphical communication.
Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to produce and interpret Engineering Drawings for multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
  • Experience creating precise Architectural Drawings that align with design intent and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and related drafting tools.
  • Relevant technical qualification or diploma in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a closely related field.
  • Understanding of construction processes, materials, and building or engineering standards.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in on-site project teams.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple drawing packages, revisions, and documentation deadlines.
  • Prior experience in consulting, design, or construction environments is an advantage.
