Multi Award Winning Nursery-Stodels is looking for a dynamic, physically fit Department Manager to head up the departments at the Kenilworth garden centre. The position will report directly to the Branch Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing Profitability of 4 departments
Report analysis (slow movers, dead stock)
Management & Development of staff
Stock management
Ensuring that merchandising & displays are of a high standard
Driving a high level of customer service
Effective stock management and optimize branch layout opportunities
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
3 years experience in Retail Management
Computer literate
Excellent negotiation skills
Proven leadership abilities and management of staff
Must be self motivated and assertive
A successful track record in sales, profit management, stock management including purchase management, merchandise control, tactical and strategic planning.
Must be organised, efficient, creative and assertive with strong communication skills on all levels
Own transport and valid drivers license is required
