We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join a great dynamic dental team. Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays.
  • Educate patients on oral health care, post-operative instructions, and preventive practices while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
  • Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following strict infection control standards to ensure safety for patients and staff.
  • Support the dental team with administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow as a dental receptionist, and handling documentation with precision.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or specialty practice; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with patient management software is preferred.
  • Certification in X-ray techniques and knowledge of dental sterilization procedures required.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients of all ages.
  • Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies, including aseptic technique and medical documentation standards.
