Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient care.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management to uphold aseptic techniques.
- Assist with patient management by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and providing compassionate care to enhance patient comfort.
- Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and handling inquiries with professionalism.
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly and adhering to infection control standards.
- Fabricating temporary crowns.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging enhances your ability to excel in this role.
- Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention protocols, and aseptic techniques is highly valued.
- Experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting, taking X-rays (including dental x-ray), and handling dental instruments is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix helps streamline workflow and improve patient care delivery.
- Strong understanding of general dentistry practices along with specialized areas like oral surgery or prosthodontics is a plus.

Pay: $25.01 – $30.11 per hour
