Position: DENTAL ASSISTANT | KEMPTON PARK, EAST RAND
Location: Kempton Park
A Corporate Private Dental Practice in Kempton Park, East Rand, is seeking a dedicated and experienced HPCSA-Registered Dental Assistant to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care and proficient in both clinical assistance and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and comfort.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials.
Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilisation protocols.
Manage dental prosthetic treatment quotations, submitting them to medical aids and tracking approvals.
Handle medical aid correspondence, including obtaining authorisations and following up on outstanding approvals.
Maintain clear and professional communication between patients, medical aids, and the practice.
Schedule patient appointments for prosthetic and other dental treatments.
Provide administrative support to streamline dental procedures and patient records.
Requirements:
HPCSA-Registered Dental Assistant qualification is essential.
Prior experience in a dental practice environment.
Above-average computer literacy is required, as the entire system is computerised.
Familiarity with medical aid claims and authorisations is an advantage.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A professional and friendly demeanor with a focus on patient care.
Working Hours & Remuneration:
Full-time position with regular weekly hours, 08:00 – 17:00 & 1 Saturday per month.
Salary: R15 000 – R17 000, depending on experience.
