Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Driver role based in Cape Town. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading furniture to customer locations, ensuring all items are handled with care and delivered on time. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, planning delivery routes, verifying delivery documentation, and assisting with basic furniture placement or installation as needed. The role involves communicating professionally with customers and team members, reporting any delivery or vehicle issues, and following all company safety and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle inquiries, and support a positive customer experience.
- Experience or competency in Forklift Operation and safe material handling in warehouse or loading environments.
- Ability to provide or receive Training related to delivery processes, safety procedures, and basic installation practices.
- Background in Sales or Food & Beverage is beneficial, demonstrating interaction with customers and fast-paced operational work.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and confidence driving delivery vehicles.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely and follow health and safety guidelines.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours when required.
- Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or furniture handling is an advantage.
