Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Candidate Researcher to join our Cape Town team. This is a 180 recruitment role focused exclusively on the delivery side, sourcing, screening, and managing candidates for live vacancies as well as conducting candidate and competitor mapping.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work closely with consultants and managers in the UK, US, and EU to support candidate delivery and client success.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Research
- Use a variety of sourcing methods (LinkedIn, job boards, internal database, referrals) to identify suitable candidates for active roles.
- Upload CVs to Bullhorn, tag relevant consultants, and ensure all data is up to date.
- Build market maps and talent pipelines for key sectors and roles.
- Conduct initial screening calls to assess candidate suitability, motivation, and availability.
- Generate candidate leads during screening conversations and share them with consultants.
Candidate Management
- Coordinate interview scheduling and feedback collection across multiple time zones.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive experience.
- Keep candidate records updated in the CRM (Bullhorn) and ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Support consultants with candidate briefing, preparation, and onboarding coordination.
Collaboration, Lead Generation & Reporting
- Work closely with global consultants to understand role briefs and tailor your search accordingly.
- Generate and share market and competitor insights with consultants from update calls and candidate conversations.
- Attend delivery catch-ups and share progress, challenges, and insights with the wider team.
- Collaborate effectively on lead generation through candidate calls and market mapping efforts.
Skills & Experience Required
- Ideally 1+ year of experience in a recruitment, resourcing, or talent acquisition role, working in the UK market or European market.
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills, comfortable reaching out and building rapport over the phone and via LinkedIn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to work across multiple roles and projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in an international or fast-paced agency environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems (e.g. Bullhorn) and LinkedIn Recruiter is beneficial.
