Job Overview
The primary purpose of the Deli Clerk is to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Responsibilities include selecting and packaging products, maintaining displays, preparing special orders, and operating deli equipment such as meat and cheese slicers, ovens, fryers, and grills. Tasks involve working with both cold and hot foods.
Duties
And Responsibilities
Observe all store rules and company policies.
Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and observe dress regulations.
Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
Follow scheduled shift hours as directed by management.
Assist in producing deli items, salads, snack trays, pizzas, and entrees.
Prepare party trays, catering, and other special orders.
Display merchandise attractively and neatly.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards per store and health regulations.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; exert minimal weight often.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Prior experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
