Reports to: Financial Manager
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced a Debtors Controller to join our dynamic team. This is a fast-paced environment that will require a candidate with a strong finance background in the Debtors and Creditors functions, situated within the vicinity of Roodepoort.
Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to)*:*
Maintaining accurate records:
Collecting and reviewing invoicing source documents and generating customer invoices.
Keeping track of customer accounts, including outstanding balances, payments received, and any associated documentation.
Issuing customer statements.
Generating Supplier orders and invoices.
Inventory control.
Identifying overdue accounts:
Regularly reviewing accounts to identify those with outstanding balances and contacting customers to facilitate payment.
Processing payments:
Ensuring that all payments received are accurately recorded and reconciled against outstanding invoices.
Reconcile creditors with supplier statements, preparing and submitting accurate payments schedule.
Generating reports:
Preparing reports on debtors and creditors, including Age analysis, to provide insights into outstanding balances and payment trends.
Accurate Trial Balance.
Data entry:
Entering and updating customer and supplier data and transaction information into accounting software.
Filing and record keeping:
Maintaining accurate and organized files of customer and supplier accounts and related documents.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication skills:
Proficiency in accounting software: Familiarity with Sage business Cloud.
Advance excel skills.
Problem-solving skills
Time management skills
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Advance Diploma in Accounting/ Finance/Financial Management
Matric
Relevant Experience
Minimum of 3 year working experience as a Debtors Controller.
