Position: Dealership Branch Accountant / Bookkeeper Northern Suburbs
Our client is looking to appoint an Accountant at a Motor Dealership in Cape Town. Join a leading motor dealership in Cape Town, dedicated to delivering

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasting to guide financial decision-making. Cost Management:
Monitor and analyze costs, investigate variances, and implement cost control measures where necessary. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments and collections. Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing requirements, including VAT and PAYE. Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, reconcile physical stock counts with system records, and report on stock movements.
Financial Analysis
:
Conduct
financial analysis
, interpret data, and provide insights to management for
strategic decision-making
. Audit Preparation:
Prepare schedules and assist in the coordination of internal and external audits. Ad hoc Tasks:
Undertake special projects and ad hoc financial tasks as assigned by management. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper in the automotive industry (This is a minimum requirement from client) Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Quick Books) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with
Pinnacle, Evolve or Kerridge would be beneficial Excellent
analytical skills

. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Strong

and interpersonal skills.
