We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to join a high‑performing data team.
You’ll play a key role in designing and building modern data platforms, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting business‑critical reporting solutions.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data problems and working across the full data lifecycle.
This role will be placed at their client, working only 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures
- Implement and optimise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric
- Develop and manage data lakes, lake houses, and data warehouses
- Integrate data from multiple sources (structured and unstructured)
- Ensure data quality, performance, and governance best practices
- Collaborate with BI developers, analysts, and stakeholders
- Support and enhance reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI)
- Contribute to data platform strategy and best practices
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Computer Science or Engineering degree
- 3+ years’ experience in a Data Engineering role
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Solid experience with:
- Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, etc.)
- SQL / T‑SQL
- Data warehousing and dimensional modelling
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Exposure to Power BI or broader BI environments
- Strong understanding of cloud‑based data architectures
- Ability to work in a consulting or client‑facing environment (advantageous)
