Huawei South Africa is seeking a South African Data Center Business Development Manager (Power & Critical Infrastructure) to drive growth in the colocation (COLO) data center market across South Africa and selected regional markets (Nigeria/Kenya). This role combines business development, strategic account management, and technical understanding of data center power solutions.
You will be responsible for:
- Expanding the COLO data center market and identifying new business opportunities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with COLO customers, including key decision-makers.
- Working with product experts, solution architects and channel partners to demonstrate the value of Huawei’s digital power offerings.
- Driving project-winning strategies and meeting sales targets for COLO data center power solutions.
- Supporting business planning for colocation clients and understanding their operational models.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, IT or similar
- +5 yrs of experience in business development or account management within colocation data centers or top integrators.
- Strong understanding of data center energy solutions, including UPS, power distribution, cooling and modular data centers.
- Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and develop strategic sales opportunities.
- Working knowledge of key COLO operators and integrators
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Established network in the data center ecosystem.
- Results-driven, innovative, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of data center trends, vendors, and market dynamics.
- High integrity and ability to achieve revenue and KPI targets.
