Data Automation Specialist (Remote – South Africa)

NIVA Health is a U.S.-based healthcare group scaling fast, and we need a Data Automation Specialist to help us connect the dots across our systems, reduce manual input, and keep our backend running like a well-oiled machine.
What You’ll Be Doing
Use Python programming to create, maintain, and troubleshoot automation scripts.
Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to build modular, reliable code.
Automate workflows between platforms like Athena (EHR), PPJ (CRM), Five9, and Nextiva.
Extract, clean, and move data using tools like Selenium, BeautifulSoup, and Pandas.
Build scripts to automate common tasks: patient record updates, lead routing, verification processes, etc.
Document logic, scripts, and workflows clearly to support future maintenance.
Collaborate across departments to align automations with real business needs.
What We’re Looking For
Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in scripting and automation.
Working knowledge of OOP and how to apply it to automation projects.
Experience with Selenium and BeautifulSoup for web-based task automation.
Comfort working with structured and unstructured data (CSV, JSON, XML).
Ability to read and troubleshoot existing Python scripts.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Bonus if you’ve worked with healthcare tech (EHRs, CRMs) or know SQL, Git, or cloud tools.
Work Schedule
This is a remote, role based in South Africa, working primarily with U.S.-based teams.
Your core hours will be 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM SAST, aligning with the U.S. Eastern Time zone.
