Job Description
The purpose of the role is to provide OUT with the tools and insights we need to enable execution on strategy. This analyst will work alongside a Support team to service various departments such as
Legal
Claims and Investigations
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain management reports/dashboards (SQL, Visual Studio and Power BI)
Build and maintain cube models (Power BI/Excel PowerPivot/Analysis services)
Assist with once-off data analyses and queries relating to Investigations and Legal
Build and maintain internal data-driven automations (SQL/internally developed apps)
Document and formalise key data processes and models to ensure a robust data analytics framework
Build, maintain and improve models to support business objectives including:
Work allocation models
Supporting the team with performance management models
Staff projections
Audit models
Assist stakeholders in making data-driven decisions
Qualifications
Qualifications
Hold a Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
The following will be beneficial:
Experience working in actuarial/analytics field
MS office including Advanced MS Excel
Microsoft SQL Server
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Skills and Competencies
Have strong analytical, problem solving and SQL coding skills
Have good verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders such as with operations, other analysts and IT
Be interested in critical thinking and challenging the status quo
Be open minded and willing to learn
