As a Customer Care Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for customer handling calls, emails, and messages with confidence and professionalism. Your goal? To ensure every interaction is efficient, solution-driven, and customer-centric.

Key Responsibilities

Under the management / direction of the Team Manager, the Customer Care Consultant will have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Collections Management

Respond to and resolve customer enquiries through calls, emails, and messages.

Handle a variety of customer requests, including balance inquiries, account closures, settlement offers, and more.

Negotiate payment arrangements and support outbound agents with necessary correspondence.

Follow up to ensure quick and effective

resolution of customer issues

Productivity Management

Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets for key performance indicators

Convert Right Party Contacts (RPCs) into successful payment arrangements and collections.

Focus on high productivity and efficiency while maintaining excellent service standards.

Quality & Compliance Management

Apply industry regulations and company policies to the collections process (including the National Credit Act, Debt Collections Act, and IT policies).

Maintain up-to-date, accurate debtor information and system integrity.

Provide high levels of customer service by addressing queries empathetically, tactfully, and professionally.

Requirements

Experience

: A minimum of 2 years in an inbound customer care role, ideally within a collections or customer service environment.

Skills

: Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills.

Tech-Savvy

: Computer literate and familiar with collections systems (a plus!).

Target-Driven

mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding goals.

Integrity & Teamwork

: High levels of integrity and a team player.
