Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Custom Autobody, Painter, and Prepper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their optimal condition by performing precise auto body repairs, surface preparation, and high-quality painting. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety. Duties
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and welding to restore vehicle structures
- Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, grinding, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primers, paints, coatings, and finishes using conventional spray guns and airless paint spraying equipment
- Conduct automotive buffing and polishing to achieve a smooth, glossy finish on painted surfaces
- Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation, sanding, grinding, and detailing work
Requirements
- Proven automotive repair shop experience with auto body repair, painting, or prep work
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate welding equipment and perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools, grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and spray guns for automotive refinishing
- Knowledge of automotive surface preparation techniques including masking, sanding, and priming
- Experience with auto restoration projects and automotive buffing for high-quality finishes
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship in auto body refinishing
