Join Country Road Group as a Stockroom Assistant who will support the store management team in achieving sales targets and KPI’s. This is achieved through performing all stock room activities in accordance with company policies to maintain an organized and hygienic stockroom and to optimise stock movement. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level

Experience

  • Experience in a retail fashion stockroom environment
  • A passion for the retail industry with an ambition to progress
  • Previous experience in a fast- paced environment
  • Ability to maintain customer relationships by delivering exceptional customer service
  • Basic product knowledge relevant to stockroom inventory and retail merchandise
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal customers and team members
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills to handle stock records and related documentation accurately
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures to maintain an organized, hygienic, and safe stockroom environment
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation, including friendliness, responsiveness, and attention to customer needs
  • Basic planning, organizing, and detail orientation skills to ensure efficient stock handling and adherence to quality standards
  • Personal reliability and integrity, with a commitment to attendance, dress code, and ethical conduct in the workplace

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized, hygienic, and safe stockroom environment following company policies and OHASA standards.
  • Efficiently process stock movements including returns (RTVs), inter-branch transfers (IBTs), and waste in compliance with Woolworths guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and courteously to internal customer requests and inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate stock handling through basic product knowledge and adherence to inventory procedures to minimize shrinkage.
  • Support store operations by keeping the sales floor and back areas clean, safe, and well-stocked;
  • Observe and report any acts of dishonesty, shrinkage, or fraud to management or the designated hotline.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership by adhering to attendance, dress code, and ethical standards consistently.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to setting goals and work schedules to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and documentation, utilizing good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Perform all duties with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with quality standards and efficient stockroom operation.
