The Opportunity

We’re looking for a confident, personable, and driven individual to join our Finance team as a Credit Controller in either of our offices in Farnborough, UK or Durbanville, SA!
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a proactive approach who wants to gain valuable commercial experience within a leading law firm. This role is about much more than numbers. You’ll be building relationships, solving problems, influencing outcomes, and working closely with clients and colleagues across the firm. You’ll gain hands-on experience in financial operations, reporting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and client communication, developing skills that will support future careers in finance, business operations, professional services, or the legal sector.
Working alongside Partners, lawyers, and business support teams, you’ll play an important role in helping the firm maintain healthy cashflow while delivering an exceptional client experience.
Full training will be provided, so we’re more interested in your attitude, confidence and potential than extensive previous experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and supporting the firm’s credit control processes.
- Building professional relationships with clients and assisting with the collection of outstanding invoices.
- Contacting clients regarding overdue accounts and discussing payment arrangements where appropriate.
- Negotiating positive outcomes while maintaining excellent client relationships.
- Working alongside our Debt Recovery team on matters requiring formal recovery action.
- Collaborating with Partners, lawyers, and colleagues to resolve billing queries.
- Producing debt reports and analysing trends to support decision-making.
- Monitoring aged debt and helping improve cashflow performance across the firm.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data is up to date.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance team.
About You

Previous credit control experience is not essential. Full training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong people skills who wants to build valuable commercial experience within a successful and growing law firm.
