CREDIT CONTROLLER

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Credit Controller role is to rehabilitate medium to High-risk accounts and handle all administration of accounts, such as adjustments on the students ledger etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Deal with all queries or specialized accounts such as cancellations/special arrangements which include:
Identification and Tracing of unallocated payments
Payment plan maintenance
Incoming queries
Rehabilitating medium to high-risk accounts which include:
Converting Query or overdue account to PTP (Promise to pay) or payment
Payment arrangement/s for clients with difficulty maintaining standard contract Terms and Conditions.
Clearly note all correspondence (verbal and/or written) on applicable accounting system
Answering incoming calls (outcome of the call will determine what the next step is)
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
Matric (NQF 4 Level qualification) minimum
Experience
7 Years Debt collection experience minimum
Key Competencies:
The ability to deal with customers diligently, courteously, and professionally while collecting payments (Excellent telephone manner)
The ability to understand and read a statement, in order to identify overdue account
Be concise and assertive, although also persuasive and patient
Knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
Reconciliation knowledge
Customer service orientated and some knowledge of CPA
Self-motivated, reliable negotiation experts who care for our clients as well as our company.
Collection’s agents need to be patient and diligent, especially when it comes to tracking down the individuals responsible for paying off a debt as customers may avoid calls from collections agents or quickly hang up
Salary:
Market related.
