Job Title: Credit Control
Description:
We are a reputable medical assistance company providing essential healthcare services to our clients. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality medical assistance. We’re seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Credit Controller to manage a portion of our accounts receivable portfolio. This individual will be responsible for following up on outstanding claims, reconciling accounts, engaging with insurers and providers, and supporting our broader finance team to ensure timely payments and clean ledgers
Requirements:
Must have credit control experience
Excellent attention to detail
Experience in a healthcare environment
Ability to work within a pressurized environment
Computer proficiency
Drive and energy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving, analysis and judgement
Key Outputs:
Manage the age analysis to ensure accurate tracking and effective management of accounts.
Follow up and collect outstanding debt from the clients.
Address short payments promptly with clients.
Escalate unresolved issues appropriately
Reconcile remittance advice to invoices and allocate payments
Collaborate with Billing, Accounts Payable and Cashbook teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers
Support the Finance Manager in audit and reporting processes
Qualifications:
Matric Certificate (Tertiary Accounting Qualification advantageous).
Proficiency in English, with excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal daily direction to achieve objectives.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence in financial record-keeping.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Familiarity with working in a fast-paced environment with high volumes of transactions.
Strong grasp of procedures and processes within the specialized medical service industry.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
Computer Skills:
Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel (for debtor reconciliations), and email communication.
