Position: CRANE MILLWRIGHTS
Location: Emalahleni
Attending to all maintenance aspects of cranes, service hoists, vacuum lifters and motors on site and attending to crane related breakdowns including the repair of crane gearboxes.
POSITION INFO:
Duties:
Must be able to perform individually in all aspects of the job.
Must have the ability to identify wear tolerances of the overhead crane wheels.
Must have practical experience of changing overhead crane wheels.
Responsible for maintenance and refurbishment of spares to repair breakdowns.
Responsible for accurate feedback and completion of job cards.
Manage work list and plan work for shut down opportunities for equipment improvement.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum qualification of N3.
Millwright trade with at least 3 years crane experience.
LMI certification or studying towards its completion.
Must be competent on Frequency Drives, Voltage Drives, PLC’s, and different types of crane brakes and crane radio remote control systems.
Fault finding on all aspects of crane related equipment is crucial.
Sound knowledge of OHS Act, specifically Driven Machinery Regulations of the OHS.
Be able to work under pressure to ensure strict deadlines are met.
Will be required to carry out standby duties, and working overtime as requested.
Be physically fit and not afraid of confined spaces and heights.
Have extensive knowledge of electrical circuits.
Remuneration: Up to R580 CTC plus bonuses (R48 CTC / Month).
