POSITION INFO:
We’re looking for a talented Cost Accountant who understands the financial heartbeat of logistics and thrives on turning data into operational savings. If you excel at analysing cost drivers, optimising efficiency, and strengthening profitability across complex supply chain environments, this role is for you.
Duties:
- Perform cost variance analysis across operations
- Build and maintain costing models and BOMs
- Oversee reconciliations and daily cash flow processes
- Manage month‑end close and cost reporting
- Maintain ledger accuracy and strong cost controls
- Track, forecast, and report on cost metrics
- Oversee inventory costing and AP/AR support
- Contribute to audit and tax compliance
- Support, guide, and develop junior staff
Skills & Experience:
- BCom in an Accounting‑related field (essential)
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles (essential)
- Exposure to logistics or supply chain environments (highly advantageous)
- Minimum 4-6 years’ financial accounting experience
