Purpose Of The Role
The ideal team player will be responsible for the strategic and operational management and optimisation of various digital platforms for the VKB Group, supported by high-quality written and visual content. Research, development, and deployment of digital platforms in accordance with the company strategy and goals, based on solid SEO knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
Relevant degree/diploma in digital marketing or proven portfolio of projects
Experience in a digital marketing environment: 4-6 years
Experience in digital publications will be an advantage
Solid, proven knowledge and utilisation of SEO functions
Excellent Afrikaans and English writing skills
Ability to use creative language to sell ideas
Short video creation skills will be an advantage
Experience in the agricultural industry will be an advantage
Duties And Responsibilities
Manage digital platforms owned by the VKB Group and its subsidiaries (including, but not limited to, websites, publications, social media pages, and established communication platforms)
Develop, implement, and execute strategy for a wide range of digital platforms designated to the portfolio to support business strategy and goals and act in an advisory capacity to the Head of Corporate Communication
Develop and curate enticing content tailor-made for each platform to reach digital marketing goals in collaboration with relevant team members
Fostering engagement and building relationships with the online community through various channels using technical knowledge of platforms and creative content
Continuous research to understand target market and its content preferences
Conduct statistical feedback reports for all digital platforms
Search engine optimisation (SEO):
Implementing SEO strategies to improve the organic visibility of digital content in search engine result pages and increase traffic to platforms
Understand and use paid advertising on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Instagram Ads to create call to action and increase visibility
Collaborating with other departments or teams to ensure alignment of digital media efforts with the overall business goals and strategies
Brand reputation management:
Monitoring online mentions, responding to comments or enquiries timeously and addressing issues to maintain a positive brand image
Continuous updating, experimentation, optimisation, and maintenance of digital platform content
Understand the company’s strategy and brand positioning
Budget management allocated to digital media activities
