Full-time contractor. Remote, Cape Town-based.
About Viaduct Generation
We’re a London search and discovery consultancy helping mid-market and scale-up brands stay visible across Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, TikTok and every surface buyers now search. Our co-founder (me, Duray) is South African, based in London for 15 years, and we’re building out a serious founder content engine over the next 12 months. This role owns it end to end.
The role in one line
You’ll turn our two founders’ raw thinking (monthly shoots, weekly voice memos, teardowns and reactions) into published, engaging content across LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. You edit it, you write it, you post it, you reply to comments, you tell us what’s working.
What the week actually looks like
Content production (roughly 60% of your time):
- Edit 25 to 35 short-form video pieces a month, mostly LinkedIn-native (16:9 or 1:1, hooks in first 3 seconds, burned-in captions, 45 to 90 seconds), plus 9:16 derivatives for YouTube Shorts, IG and TikTok
- Edit monthly studio shoots (8 to 12 pieces per shoot day)
- Package the founders’ weekly async captures (Loom, voice memo, phone video) into publishable content
- Cut occasional longer-form pieces for YouTube as we test that channel
Publishing and community (roughly 40% of your time):
- Turn captures and clips into draft LinkedIn posts and carousels for founder approval
- Own the content calendar and schedule everything via our tool (Buffer/Later/Metricool, TBC)
- Publish daily on two founder LinkedIn profiles, 2 to 3x weekly on VG’s company page, weekly on YouTube, cross-posts to IG and TikTok
- Reply to comments and DMs daily, flag warm leads to the sales team
- Weekly performance report: what’s landing, what’s not, what to test next
- Join one call a week with the founders and our creative studio
What we’re looking for
- Solid short-form editing portfolio with B2B, business or founder-brand work in it. If everything you’ve cut is B2C fashion or lifestyle, this probably isn’t your role
- Copywriting as a real craft, not an afterthought. If you can’t write a hook, this doesn’t work. Did we make a spelling error in this job ad? Let us know.
- Strong LinkedIn native. Show us profiles or pages you’ve grown, with rough before/after numbers
- Comfortable working async with a UK team (1 to 2 hour timezone offset)
- Own kit and licensed software (Premiere, DaVinci, or CapCut Pro)
- Turnaround of 48 to 72 hours per piece as standard, faster for reactive content
- Analytical enough to read the numbers weekly and suggest course change with data quickly
- Cape Town-based (requirement for occasional in-person work)
What this isn’t
We’re not looking for someone to run Meta ad campaigns (handled separately), design brand assets in Canva as a primary task (our creative studio handles that), or ghostwrite content wholesale from scratch. Your job is packaging and publishing the founder’s actual thinking at pace, and having the taste and judgment to know what’s worth posting. Alongside the attention to detail to manage our personal brands at scale – with that in mind. Drop the word “Pineapples” into your email when you get in touch so we know you’ve read the full brief. Speed and consistency matter as much as craft.
