Full Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and lead construction projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate operations and ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of construction projects.
Supervise contractors, subcontractors, site engineers, and laborers.
Ensure projects comply with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and manage project budgets and cost estimates.
Procure materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control.
Address and resolve issues or delays promptly.
Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders and senior management.
Ensure proper documentation, including permits and licenses, is in place.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field
MUST be registered as a Pr.CM with SACPCMP
Candidates must have between 10-15 years experience
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, AutoCAD).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Working Conditions:
Primarily on-site, with some office work.
Must be able to travel to various project sites.
Work hours may extend beyond standard hours depending on project demands.
