About the Role:
We are looking for a Licensing and Compliance Manager (Gaming) with strong experience in South Africa and Nigeria’s regulatory frameworks. This role will manage gaming license applications, internal compliance controls, and relationships with regulatory bodies. Ideal candidates are licensed lawyers with a deep understanding of gaming regulations and at least 5 years of compliance experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain gaming licenses in South Africa and Nigeria
Ensure compliance with the National Gambling Act and provincial laws
Lead internal audits and respond to external regulatory inspections
Liaise with gambling boards and testing labs (e.g., GLI, BMM)
Monitor legal updates and revise internal policies accordingly
Train internal teams on local compliance and regulatory obligations
Build and maintain relationships with regulators and legal partners
Supervise the compliance function and contribute to policy development
Qualifications:
Licensed lawyer (South Africa and Nigeria)
Minimum 5 years of gaming compliance experience
At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
Familiarity with gaming lab certifications (e.g., GLI, BMM)
Strong communication skills in English; additional languages a plus
Proven ability to manage regulatory risk and tight timelines
