POSITION INFO:
An established short-term insurance brokerage located in the Highway area, providing tailored personal and commercial risk solutions to a diverse client base. We are seeking an experienced Commercial and Domestic Underwriter to manage end-to-end underwriting duties, client queries, policy administration, and cross-selling across both commercial and personal lines. Key responsibilities Perform end-to-end commercial and domestic policy administration, renewals, amendments, and endorsements. Prepare and process claims submissions on behalf of clients. Utilize insurance management systems (Flexi and Cardinal) to manage policy data accurately. Identify client needs and recommend appropriate additional coverage options to optimize protection. Build strong, professional relationships with clients, providing reassuring and effective support. Work collaboratively with team members to support overall client service delivery. Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience in short-term insurance (Commercial and Domestic). Working knowledge of the Cardinal operating system (experience with Flexi is advantageous). Solid understanding of domestic and commercial cover structures and claims preparation processes. Relevant FAIS accreditation (preferred). Professional, well-presented appearance for occasional client-facing engagements. Excellent punctuality and reliable attendance. Attributes Easy-going, approachable, and friendly customer service orientation. Strong interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset. Calm, empathetic approach with the ability to reassure clients in stressful situations.
