Overview:
Kosmas Enterprises is seeking a dynamic, commercially driven Commercial Delivery Lead to head up the South African back-office operations supporting a Fresh Produce wholer, a fast-growing UK-based fresh produce distributor. This role is ideal for a high-performing operator with a strong sales mindset, who can lead a multifunctional team focused on revenue growth, product rollout, customer engagement, and day-to-day coordination.
Key Responsibilities:Commercial Growth & Sales Enablement
Lead the commercial delivery strategy for the South African back office supporting the UK operation.
Drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives to increase average order value and client retention.
Coordinate rollout of new products and services to UK customer segments (hospitality, retail, care, etc.).
Collaborate closely with the UK Commercial Director on sales targets, pricing strategy, and product positioning.
Customer Engagement & Product Execution
Oversee the preparation and delivery of sales collateral, product brochures, and pricing schedules.
Manage the back-end support for customer onboarding, order processing, and service excellence.
Work with digital marketing and outbound teams to execute targeted B2B and B2C campaigns (including the doorstep box offering).
Team Leadership & Coordination
Manage a cross-functional team covering admin, finance support, sales support, and logistics coordination.
Oversee daily workflows, task allocation, and productivity monitoring.
Lead weekly commercial reviews and performance reporting.
Operational Collaboration
Ensure seamless alignment between the UK’s on-the-ground operation and SA’s remote support team.
Track KPIs across customer satisfaction, order accuracy, margin improvement, and campaign ROI.
Provide input into operational improvements and system upgrades that support commercial performance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
4+ years in commercial operations, business development, or general management within FMCG, distribution, or supply chain sectors.
Strong leadership ability with proven track record in sales, marketing execution, or customer success.
Hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving SME environment.
High level of competency using CRMs, productivity tools (Google Workspace), and ERP/accounting software.
Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal.
