What You’ll Be Doing:
As part of our team, you’ll collaborate across disciplines to bring commercial spaces to life. You’ll work closely with our senior designers and project managers to deliver high-quality, creative, and technically sound interiors. Your role will evolve with your experience and performance, offering the opportunity to grow into a client-facing designer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Support: Contribute to concepts, layouts, mood boards, and design presentations
- Technical Drafting: Develop detailed Revit drawings including space planning, working drawings, and council documentation under guidance
- Materials & Samples: Source finishes and fittings, manage sample libraries, and liaise with suppliers on new products
- Project Coordination: Support the project manager with timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables are met
- Site Interaction: Attend and document on-site surveys, measure existing conditions, and support site coordination
- Client & Team Engagement: Attend client meetings, take briefs, and assist in preparing polished presentation packs
- Industry Engagement: Stay current on interior design trends, materials, and tools to bring fresh thinking to every project
- Growth Focus: Work alongside a senior designer for mentorship and skill development, with increasing autonomy over time
Must-Haves:
- Proficiency in Revit (non-negotiable)
- A tertiary qualification in Interior Design or Architecture
- 3–4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in commercial interiors
- Strong eye for design, detail-oriented, and eager to grow
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working across multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
Bonus Points For:
- Knowledge of South African building codes and council processes
- Experience with office fit-outs or commercial interiors
- Graphic presentation skills (InDesign, Photoshop)
- Familiarity with PlanRadar, Monday.com, or project collaboration platforms
