Commercial Insurance Specialist Jobs in Bloemfontein, South Africa at Old Mutual

Provide quality direct sales service that results in the production of business from new and existing sources, contributing to the company’s profitability and growth. (Roles are based in Free State)

Responsibilities

Identify and implement innovative methods to build an insurance portfolio.

Prospect for new clients through networking, cold-calling, and door-to-door canvassing.

Manage and drive portfolio profitability by ensuring timely delivery of ongoing service and support (amendments, renewals, claims) to clients, improving business quality.

Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations for clients.

Provide solutions by selling non-life products aligned with client needs.

Continuously build the client base for future portfolio growth.

Identify and act on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across all products.

Achieve sales targets set for daily, weekly, and monthly periods.

Maintain minimum quote-to-sales ratio, NTU, and cancellation ratio as per standards.

Perform after-sales tasks, including managing a portfolio of customers.

Monitor and resolve escalated client queries and complaints promptly.

Manage client relationships to meet or exceed Service Level Agreement standards.

Retain existing business, including renewal discussions, following business processes and FAIS Code of Conduct.

Collaborate with other departments (underwriting, pricing, claims) to improve processes and enhance customer experience.

Manage time and workloads effectively to meet deadlines and targets.

Oversee the end-to-end customer experience, providing first-line support for queries.

Proactively suggest service and relationship improvements.

Contribute to a service culture that builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations, and enables exceptional service.

Cost Control and Governance

Ensure the use of resources aligns with organizational policies and procedures.

Comply with governance policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate.

FAIS Compliant in Non-life Commercial product category.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in non-life insurance.

Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
