Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Commercial Insurance Broker at GrowthHouse Financial Planning Services. The Commercial Insurance Broker will identify and develop new commercial insurance opportunities, assess client needs, and recommend suitable insurance products and risk management solutions. Daily activities include preparing and presenting quotes, negotiating coverage and pricing with insurers, and managing the placement and renewal of commercial policies. The role involves maintaining ongoing client relationships, providing responsive customer service, and coordinating with underwriting and account management teams to ensure accurate policy administration. The broker will also stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and product developments to provide informed advice and support business growth.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Insurance Brokerage and Commercial Insurance advisory.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Insurance products and risk management principles.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, including communication and relationship management.
- Candidates should possess experience in Underwriting support, risk assessment, and policy review.
- Candidates should possess Account Management skills for handling renewals, endorsements, and client portfolios.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in insurance or financial services (where applicable by jurisdiction) are beneficial.
- Experience in commercial lines (e.g., property, liability, business interruption, professional indemnity) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in standard office and insurance software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Preferred education: diploma or degree in finance, business, risk management, or a related field.
