Commercial Finance Analyst
📍 Johannesburg, South Africa | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
We're looking for a commercially focused Commercial Finance Analyst to join a leading FMCG business on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys partnering with Sales and Marketing, analysing commercial performance, and delivering financial insights that drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to drive profitable Net Sales growth.
- Deliver insightful P&L, margin and customer profitability analysis.
- Evaluate promotional activity and return on investment (ROI).
- Produce monthly financial performance reports and commercial insights.
- Play an active role in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Support Sales teams with financial modelling and commercial recommendations.
- Monitor and control trade spend to ensure policy compliance.
- Review pricing changes and promotional spend approvals.
- Perform monthly and quarterly trade spend reconciliations.
- Manage customer deductions and work closely with Shared Services to resolve outstanding items.
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance and audit compliance.
Requirements
- Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
- Experience within FMCG or Retail is highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial finance or FP&A experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- SAP experience is advantageous.
- BPC exposure would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
