-based clients. The role is based in Durban, Kwa Zulu‑Natal and works permanent hours aligned with U.S. business times.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls about overdue accounts with professionalism and empathy.
- Explain contract terms and ownership details to callers.
- Ensure all collection activity complies with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and internal policies.
- Meet targets for call volume, contact rates and resolution.
- Record accurate notes of every interaction.
- Perform skip‑tracing when required.
- Support the collections team with daily tasks.
- Complete mandatory training and compliance certifications.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a U.S. collections environment.
- Ability to work U.S. hours on a rational basis.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and empathy.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Familiarity with FDCPA and U.S. regulatory bodies.
- Open to South African citizens and permanent residents.
